Encouraging a healthy workforce is moving from a ‘nice to have’ to an essential for organisations of all size. Indeed, lifestyle changes that result from an effective workforce health programme can equate to at least a 400% return on investment for employers.
The Sheffield Universities Managing Directors’ Club is pleased to deliver its next event with the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine (NCSEM), a flagship Olympic Legacy project that brings together partners from across the region to increase physical activity across the whole population.
The event will demonstrate how companies can benefit from the innovative projects across Sheffield, from Westfield Health’s approach to ‘Active Health’, to ‘Active 10’ – an app that encourages short burst of activity.
Meet colleagues from the Healthy Lifespan Institute at the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University’s Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre, who, together, are working with NCSEM to establish a sustainable ecosystem of organisations to extend the healthy lifespan of those over 50, by promoting physical activity, healthy nutrition and social connectedness through joint innovation with business.
Come and hear how we can improve wellbeing in the workforce by increasing activity, and learn how businesses across the region can engage and benefit from the wellbeing opportunities.
Hear from our informative guest speakers, enjoy some food and drink and stay for the networking
